re waltraut trudi goesseringer, ioof senior homes inc., 10 brooks st, barrie, ontario (room 2050)

mom passed away yesterday. she had shortness of breath at dinner and they rushed her to the {rvh barrie} hospital. she had a massive heart attack and they couldn't revive her. when i saw her on saturday she was under extreme stress and duress. she still required sedation. her window was left open and she had a cough. she wanted cough syrup and swiss lozenges. my brother spoke to her earlier in the day yesterday and she wasn't feeling well. they were getting her ready for her brace and things seemed pretty normal until dinner. i know the feeding tube went with her. she was eating by herself and seemed to be doing better than in the hospital. the home also was giving her good care and attention, as far as i could see. but she wasn't happy there. she wanted to live at home.

i spoke to my sister in l.a. this morning and she was already at the airport. she arrives at 5 p.m. i will be meeting her at peaceful transition and we'll be tying up some loose ends this weekend. we had decided to give her a ceremony in the spring around mother's day and her birthday in may (bd may 16, 1933) at my grandparents' place of rest up north (both lived until their late 80s).

so the appropriate parties on this case can now close their files. this chapter has ended. i feel if more people would have listened to me, her life could have been prolonged. she obviously died of stress. it was clearly medical negligence on the part of the doctors.

Dear Sonja,

I am coming to Barrie tomorrow and will call you. I arrive at 3PM. I will stay at Carol's

I have to arrange for mom's final arrangements. She wants a Peaceful Transition and to my understanding no service.

I have called everyone, except Lorraine [O'Brien, Hawkestone].

I have to clear her stuff out of the nursing home on Friday as well.

I have a few questions re: the arrangements that I would like to ask you about. Do you know if mom wants her ashes buried by Oma and Opa? That is what Marietta told me, but I have not heard this. I know she wants cremation, but not sure about the other point.

I will also call her lawyer re: her final wishes.

Doris, I will call you tomorrow when I get to Barrie.

Sonja, perhaps you can come up to help me with everything.

Thank you, Love, Nicole
